Necessity of speed regulating operation of boiler feed pump :
1. Improve transmission quality. Hydraulic coupling can make the motor of light load starting, low starting current, reducing the starting torque of motor, motor is shortened starting duration, the electrical system and the motor has a protective effect.
2. Improve cold start performance. During the cold starting, the water supply and the water level of the boiler can be adjusted conveniently, and the heat standby state can be quickly started, and the starting is stable and the noise is small.
3. Improve operation efficiency. Throttle adjustment, the efficiency of the pump with the flow decreased and decreased, the speed regulating pump always work in the high efficient area.
4. Simplified water supply system. After adjusting the feed water pump, the pressure drop is reduced, and the operating pressure of the water supply pipeline, the accessory and the high pressure heater is reduced, and the safety and reliability of the water supply system and the operation of the water supply system are provided.
5. According to the need to adjust the flow. The boiler water supply can be adjusted conveniently according to the requirement of the electricity generation.
6. Energy saving. Compared with the throttle control energy saving 20% ~ 40%.
The reason of energy saving of boiler feed pump speed regulation :
1. Unit starting energy saving.
2. Reduction of pressure differential energy saving. The pump is designed according to the maximum continuous evaporation of the boiler, taking into account the wear, aging, parameter changes, steam loss, valve characteristics and other factors, the general flow and pressure head are left with a large margin. So if the constant speed pump operation, even full load operation of the unit, pump deviated from rated operating point and high efficiency area, throttling loss quite large.
