Material requirements of diesel engine fire pump

Selection of fire pump for diesel engine:

1. The pump shell should be used in cast iron, cast steel, cast aluminum or copper casting and other casting alloy. Shaft should be used at least for 2Cr13 stainless steel or a corrosion resistant material, or shaft using carbon steel materials, but in the packing box and a pump body too flow passages of the axle sleeve of a corrosion resistant material shall be used.

2. The impeller, the impeller sealing ring, a shell sealing materials, rings, packing ring, seal ring, mechanical seal cover, a packing sleeve etc. shall be made of corrosion resistant material.
