The efficiency of centrifugal pump is the product of three kinds of efficiency, mechanical, volumetric and hydraulic. The efficiency of the pump group is the product of pump efficiency and motor efficiency. The main factors that cause the low efficiency of the centrifugal pump group are the following.
1. Pump efficiency is the most fundamental impact. Under the same working conditions of the pump, the efficiency may differ by more than 15%.
2. The operating conditions of the centrifugal pump is lower than the rated condition of the pump, the pump efficiency is low and the energy consumption is high.
3. Motor efficiency in the use of basic remain unchanged. Therefore, the choice of a high efficiency motor.
4. The mechanical efficiency is mainly related to the design and manufacturing quality. After the pump is selected, the latter management is less affected.
5. Hydraulic losses include hydraulic friction and local resistance loss. When the centrifugal pump runs for a certain period of time, it will inevitably cause the surface wear of the impeller and guide vanes and so on.
6. Centrifugal pump volume loss, also known as leakage losses, including the impeller seal ring, the level, the axial force balance mechanism of three kinds of leakage loss. The efficiency of the volume is not only related to the design and manufacture, but also with the latter management. When the pump runs continuously for a certain period of time, due to the friction between the components, the gap increases and the volumetric efficiency decreases.
