Both advantages and disadvantages: mixed flow pump efficiency, energy conservation, but the cost is high, if it is vertical long axis of the mixed flow pump, can be extended with the shaft, take to the ground more than 10 meters from the water. Self priming pump is simple, low efficiency, the initial investment is small, can only suck on the ground not more than 10 meters of water (generally not more than 6 meters).
