1. Fire pump unit performance should meet the requirements of the flow and pressure of the fire water supply system;
2. The power of the pump unit of the fire pump unit shall meet the requirements of any point on the performance curve of the flow head performance curve of the pump set;
3. When using motor driven fire pump unit, should choose the motor dry type installation of fire pump unit;
4. Flow head performance curve should be no hump, no turning point of smooth curves, zero flow pressure should not be greater than the design work pressure of 140%, and should be greater than 120% of the design work pressure;
5. When the flow rate is 150% of design flow, the outlet pressure should not be less than 65% of the design work pressure;
6. Pump shaft sealing methods and materials should meet the requirements of the fire pump unit running at low flow rate;
7. Fire water supply to the same pump unit model of the fire pump unit should be consistent, and the working pump should not be more than 3 units;
8. When the sets of fire pump units are connected in parallel, the influence of flow stack on the outlet pressure of the fire pump unit should be checked.
