Misunderstanding of operation of pipeline centrifugal pump

Pipeline pump

1. Pipeline centrifugal pump, pipeline centrifugal pump of some users think that this can improve the actual head, in fact, the actual head of the pump head to head = total loss. When the pump type is determined, the total lift is certain; lift loss mainly comes from the pipeline resistance, smaller diameter obviously the greater the resistance, so the lift loss is bigger, so reducing the diameter of the pump, the actual head can only be increased, it will reduce, resulting in the decline in pump efficiency. Similarly, when a small diameter pump with large water pumping, it will not reduce the actual pump lift, but because the pipeline resistance decreases and the head loss, the actual head increased.

2. High lift pump for low lift pumping pipeline centrifugal pump some users believe that the pumping head is low, the motor load is small. Misleading in this understanding of the error, the purchase of water pumps, the pump head is often selected high. In fact, for the centrifugal pump, when the pump type is determined, the power consumption and size is proportional to the actual flow of the pump. The pump flow rate will decrease with the increase of the lift, the lift is high, the flux is small, the power consumption is small. Conversely, the lower the head, the greater the flow, the greater the power consumption.
3. Pipeline centrifugal pump water inlet pipe elbow bend in the water inlet pipe if used, will increase the local flow resistance. And the elbow should be in the vertical direction, not allowed to turn in the horizontal direction, so as not to gather air.
